SASA Lifetime Award Recipients

The South African Sociological Association (SASA) proudly recognises individuals who have made exceptional and sustained contributions to the Association and the field of sociology. The SASA Lifetime Award honours those who demonstrate:

• Long service and commitment to SASA
• Service in leadership roles, including positions on the SASA Council or within Working Groups
• Contribution to organisational structures, such as serving as a Working Group Convenor and/or on the South African Review of Sociology (SARS) editorial board
• Active participation, including regular attendance at SASA congresses and Annual General Meetings
• Outstanding scholarly contribution
